The cleaning of escalators and travellators is increasingly a key factor in the awarding of cleaning contracts for entire premises. Karcher's BR4735 escalator cleaner enables contractors to open up this potential, whilst owner operators can significantly reduce costs in this area.

The BR4735 is a scrubber-drier machine that has been especially designed and developed for the in-depth and routine cleaning of escalators and travellators. Cleaning is performed whilst the escalator/travellator is running, eliminating the need for costly shut-downs. One-person operation also helps to reduce operating costs without sacrificing productivity. Twin contra-rotating, motor-driven brushes reach to the outermost edge of the tread pattern and reliably remove dirt from the grooves. Specially formulated cleaning agents ensure that dirt is removed and picked up instantly in a single-step action. In order to create a vacuum and optimise suction, the brush head is equipped with a tread comb that fits exactly into the stair tread. These combs can be supplied to fit all current escalator/travellator models.
