Thanks to its compact dimensions (LxWxH: 53 x 43.5 x 38 cm), the mains powered BR 400 can also be used in shops, service stations and restaurants where conventional scrubber-driers are simply too cumbersome and expensive manual cleaning methods are still the norm. For this reason the BR 400 is also ideal for contract cleaners as well as professional and municipal users who have to clean small, furnished areas.

In terms of cleaning performance, the BR 400 is just as good as its bigger brothers. Its contra-rotating roller brushes produce a very high maximum contact pressure of 250 g/cm2. Even heavily structured surfaces, such as studded rubber floors and non-slip tiles, present no problems. Brush contact pressure is adjustable in 11 stages to suitable sensitive floors. The drives of the two brushes are offset so that the unit can scrub close to walls on either side.

As the brushes rotate at a very high speed (1500 rpm), the BR 400 can also be used as a full-fledged polisher. The push handle is hinged to allow the unit to be operated in either the forward or reverse direction. Front and rear suction beams pick up the dirty washing solution. A foot switch enables the operator to turn off wet pick-up so that the washing solution can act for longer on stubborn stains.

The BR 400 is designed for tough industrial operating conditions: The housing and chassis are made of high-impact plastics and four deflector rollers protect the housing corners. Great importance is attached to user friendliness: The roller brushes are quickly replaced, the fresh and dirty water tanks are easily removed for filling, emptying or cleaning. Recessed handles simplify handling of the low weight unit (31 kg) for transport in a vehicle.
