The Insect-a-clear 'Popular' range offers tool-free servicing: quick release front guard, tubes and high tension grid as well as an all-steel catch tray. No plastic is used in the main construction - powder coated steel or stainless steel cases are used on all models. By not using any plastic in the main chassis, Insect-a-Clear have drastically reduced the brittling (caused by UV light) and grime build up associated with plastic units.

These units have Sylvania's 'Quantum' tubes fitted as standard. Sylvania are the leading manufacturer of Ultra Violet tubes and have re-engineered the spectral power distribution of the phosphor used inside 'Quantum' tubes whci gives them a sharper peak at 365 nanometres (the optimum level for flying insect eye sensitivity)- double that of a standard 350BL tube. This new technology preserves its output at 70% over 5000 hours and will maintain its attractiveness to more insects at the end of the season. In short, 'Quantum' tubes are 100% more effective and 40% more powerful than standard tubes!

The latest version of this popular range also has powder-coated steel or stainless steel chassis and is fitted with a stainless steel, fully removable high-tension grid. These slimline units are particularly versatile as not only can they be wall mounted, suspended or free-standing but also are ideal for areas where ceiling height or wall space is restricted.
